So, I think it depends on what you are looking for and what kind of music do you play. I think for pop music the Yamaha might be better, but since I only study classical music and I am using the digital piano for practice alone (not performance), the FP-30 was a better choice for me. I think the sound in the Yamaha is better, but it is almost as it is too perfect, so it feels unnatural. But for me, that doesn't matter, as my main concern was to have an instrument that feels like a real piano. There are some real disadvantages for stage performance, since that model doesn't have a stereo output for an external speaker (just headfone output), and I think it doesn't work as a MIDI controller. It was the only digital piano that I really enjoyed playing, so I bought it, even being more expensive than the P-125. The feel of the keys was different, resembling more of a real piano, and the hammer action had that scapement feel that real pianos have. The sound was not so perfect, it felt more natural to play and more expressive. My initial thought was that it had a very different feel than any of the previous models that I tried. It was the only model that I didn't play, so I gave it a try. I was almost settling and buying the P-125, when I saw the FP-30 in a deep corner of the store.

The P-125 was with a big discount and I felt that it was the most cost-effective choice, as the action and sound were not much worse than the high-end Clavinova models, that are much more expensive. Even the high-end Yamaha Clavinova models felt "fake" in my assessment. I wasn`t satisfied with any of the digital pianos that I tried.

For me, the most important feature is for the hammer action and the sensitivity to feel as expressive and realistic as possible, in comparison to an acoustic piano. I have always played in an acoustic upright piano, the digital was just to study at night. I went to the music store recently and tested a lot of different digital pianos.
